Markus is right. I have missed that database is 10.2.0.1.0

It is not supported by SAP. You need to apply the patch first up to 10.2.0.2.0 or 10.2.0.4.0

Again - 10.2.0.1 is not supported - the error you get is due to a database error that is fixed with 10.2.0.2 (+ interim patches) or 10.2.0.4.

check file alert_SID.log

as Markus said, you will probably find out that your Oracle binaries are not of the same version of your database.

so, upgrade your binaries, then upgrade your DB.

The reason is not a wrongly installed Oracle but the fact, that you are missing a patch installation....

Markus

OUI-10091:There are no patches that need to be applied from the patchset orcale 10 g release to patch set 1 10.2.0.2.0

when i am applying patches....

Did you install the patchset 10.2.0.2 before you're tried to apply patches for that version?

wrong - you should use sapserver.cmd in the SAP subdirectory to install the database (read the guide).

i simply type

same OUI message

what can i do....

if i run simply orcale exe then what's wrong...

I repeat again:

the sapserver.cmd uses a predefined response file with configuration that need to be done for a SAP system. Of course it will show the same diaglos but with fewer questions.

Please: read the installation guide, it will tell you exaclty which paths you should install the database.

When you get that message from the patch installation DVD is because the Oracle Installer uses a different Oracle Home Path so you must use the ARROW at the right to choose the correct Oracle Home.

If this message is solved please close it.

Hi,

Oracle version is showing 10.2.0.1.0. Please upgrade the oracle patch set either on 10.2.0.2.0 or 10.2.0.4.0.

That version 10.2.0.1 is not supported. Read the installation guide, it tells you what to install to make this working...

Thanks to all of you for reply and suggestion....

i want to share some more information here ...after editing listener.ora file and copy that file and renamed it to LISTENER1.ora and change the post 1521 and also add in envaronment Variable LOCAL=<SID> ...

after that i am able to go in

SQLPLUS and sql

SQL>

NOT FACING ERROR RELATED TO TNS PROTOCOLE ADAPTER

but problem is that

whenever through CMD level i am checking

SQL> shutdown immediate

ORA-01034: ORCALE not available

ORA-27101:Shared Memory Realm

SQL>

SQL>startup

ORCALE instance started

Total gobale area shows buffer ..area

Database mounted

ORA-01092: Orcale Instance Terminated. Disconnection Forced.

i hope this is due to orcale patch level.

but for information i install orcale 10 g then i apply patches 10.2

but when i was apply patches...

it shows..

OUI-10091:There are no patches that need to be applied from the patchset orcale 10 g release to patch set 1 10.2.0.2.0

so what that mean...

should i apply any thing ....

Anuj,

Please refer to the link below. Also post log files from ..\NETWORK\log and your ORACLE_HOME environment variable.

http://www.dbmotive.com/oracle_error_codes.php?errcode=27101

Are you sure you have 10.2.0.2.0 version because earlier it was showing different?

Hope this helps.

Is it so hard to read your error message:

SOLUTION: See ora_sql_results.log and the Oracle documentation for details.

Have you tried to search the same in SDN.

Its a common error your TNS listner is not configured properly. Please have a search

I don't believe it's related to TNS, if Oracle does a "forced disconnection" is most likely a database error (followed by an ORA-00600).

The most common case for this is that people install just the version on the DVD and don't add patch 10.2.0.2 plus interim or 10.2.0.4....
