GRC Access Control 5.2 Java SP upgrade.

Hi All,

We are planning the Java SP upgrade for GRC Access Control 5.2 components. We are on SP9 for AE,RE, CC and on SP7 for FF.

I am not getting clear guide for Java sp upgrade like pre-upgrade and post-upgrade activities.

Please suggest.

Hello Pravin,

For Support Pack upgrade you need to refer to SAP notes.

Search for name of SAP name with SAR file name, you had downloaded.

There you will find correct instructions, there is a sequence in which you have to undeploy and deploy files using SDM.

Kindly search for SAP note may be with string 'VIRCC'.

The upgrade procedure is very simple. Undelpoy all the AC components except the dictionary and then follow installation procedure and deploy all the components. JAVA SPs are cumulative so you can directly install SP11. Make sure to upload initial data files after the installation.

You also need to check the supplied UME roles for possible new or changed actions.

For RAR, also upload CC53_MESSAGES.txt and verify the rule set changes.

Thanks for the reply. This is Upgrade guide for moving to Access Control 5.3.

I am looking for guide to just SP upgrade from SP9 to SP11 on Access Control 5.2 itself.

You can find it at the following location:
