hi,
can any one explain me what is the concept that is invovled in Ad-Hoc.
what is the Ad-Hoc Functionality. Why this Term will appear in our Work Flow issues
regards
subhash
Hi Subhash,
Ad-hoc is a term used for determining things at run time. It means you nede not have to pass the values earlier to the workflow but fetch them dynamically.
Ad-hoc funtionality is mainly used for Agent assignment in workflows. This gives you a flexibility to assign a recipient to the tasks at the start of execution.
For more information refer to the follwoing link:

Hope this helps!

Thanks, first of all for your contributions,
I have a question about workflow and ad-hoc agent assignment
how can a workflow be enabled from Generic object services ( wherever available - for example material master) and how do you restrict the visibility of workflow lists that are required for enabled object only( here in our case --say material master).
Secondary qestion -How an ad hoc agent assignment can be assigned to the above workflow.
Appreciate if your answer.
