How to recover from a failed installation

Hello everyone,

I am interested in attempting to restart an install without beginning where the previous install left off. After

the previous installation (whose result was an error), I removed the contents of /sapdb, /sapmnt, /usr/sap,

/etc/opt/sdb, and /tmp/sapinst_. The error log is right below....

This error confuses me; the mentioned files no longer exist on the disk. This error occurs after specifying

the path for IDES Exports 1, 2, and 3. Is there a way to make this system "clean" without having to start

with a fresh OS?

Thank you,

Zachary Shay

delete also /usr/spool/sql and then try again.

Hi,

MaxDB uses a "registry", starting with V7.6.

It is /etc/opt/sdb.

Also delete this file.

Thanks,
