Installation of Enhancement Package 1 in SAP NetWeaver 7.0

Hello,

We have install the Enhancement Package 4 in the server ECC 6.0 with EHP3.

But, before we need install the Enhancement Package 1 in SAP NetWeaver 7.0

The actual Kernel is releae 700 level 185.

We download the kernel 701 for Windows 64 unicode with SQL, and we install in the system, when we start sap the part java don't started the process sapcpe.exe "could not be started" .

We have tried with the kernel 15 and 23 of release 701, but this don't ok.

We can connect to the part ABA and JAVA, but the Kernel isn't update, and in the console of sap the process sapcpe.exe is in red with the message could not be started"

The actual level of the server is:

Hello,

We have import the package from the SAINT, and we modify the kernel descompress the Kernel 701 and copy into the folder /usr/sap/sid/sys/exe/uc/ntamd64.

Hi,

I suggest that you read the documentation for installing EHP4.

As Matt said, you have to use SAP Enhancement Package Installer (not SAINT) !

Why are you using SAINT/JSPM instead of SAPehpi? As it says in the Installation Guide:

>The installation procedure described in this document focusses on the SAP Add-On Installation

>Tool (transaction SAINT) and the Java Support Package Manager (JSPM). Use these tools only in one of the following cases:

This way, you can keep the underlying SAP NetWeaver Application Server Java on release SAP NetWeaver 7.0

That being said, check if Note 684106 is applied correctly.

Because when we import the packages of ECC 6.0 EPH4, the system return the error:

"OCS package SAPK-701DHINSAPBASIS requires at least Kernel Release 701 with patch number

0000"

And the package SAPK-701DHINSAPBASIS is a prerequisite for import the package with the release 604 (ehp4).

The package that we need import is:

The package are the prerequisites for import the EHP4 in the system.

How are you attempting to apply the EhP? Are you using EHPI?

No, for install the EHP4 we need the sap netweaver to EHP1

We can connect to the part ABA and JAVA, but the Kernel isn't update

What does this mean? Connect how? What do you mean the kernel isn't updated?

When we update the kernet 7.00 to 7.01, when the start sap, it is start but it appear a new process "sapcepe.exe" with the state in red and the message "Could not be started"

And we see the release of kernel and it isn't modify, the release is 700 instead of 701.

What you are saying does not make sense. Why are you trying to apply the 701 kernel if you haven't applied the EhP yet?
