regarding Standard rules for BI,MDM and texts/authorization data?

Hi All,

I find some standard rules with installation disks .There i have APO,BASIS,CRM,HR,ECC,R3,SRM rules.

Q1) I need to connect my GRCAC 5.3 to SCM,MDM,BI systems also.Is there any standard rules for these 3 modules.?

Q2) what is the difference between the R3,ECC RULES which has come with installation files?

Q3) How to get the texts and authorization data for BI,MDM systems?Normally For ECC we have two programs for this.What about BI and MDM Modules.?

After working, i came to conclusion that for all SAP backend systems( even for BI and MDM) we can use that two programs to download Texts n authorization data.

SCM is nothing but APO. so we can use that rules for SCM.for BI n MDM we need to create custom rules.But i have following doubt.

Q) what is the difference between the R3,ECC RULES which has come with installation files?

Hello Joseph,

Per my knowledge

R3 mean SAP version 4.6c, 4.7

ECC mean WAS 640, 700

The tcodes maintained in ECC rules, might not exist in lower versions.
