Language Import

Hi,

I have installed ECC 6.0 system with ESS and MSS. (ABAP + Java with EP and EP core).

Now I have to import 3 languages in to this system. Please let me know if there is any how to guide for this.

I want to know what are the activities I have to do as a part of it like,

1. Parameters I have set at profile level

2. Activities to be done in tcode : I18N

3. Files to be copied to EPS/in directory and

4. Importing using SMLT.

Is there any prerequisite step I have to do. I have installed using SR3 installer and right now there is no need for higher support pack levels.

Shall I start importing language immediately after installation if I don't want to update support packs. Will this create any problems in future during support pack import after language import.

Please guide me on this as I am doing it for the first time.

Hi,

I have gone through this link in help.sap.com. But there is no information regarding prerequisite to be done before starting this.

Also I am not sure whether I have to do something in future after importing support packs everytime related to language.

Please let me know if there is any link or document where I can get more information.

Please note the steps:

1. Check the latest update for SPAM( if applicable)

2. Download the language files from SAP marketplace

3. Use report RSCPINST to configure languages

4. Set zcsa/installed_languages system profile parameter

5. Import language using SMLT

Please remember to complete the client maintainence step before you finish.
