How to check ST06 transaction in detail?

Can you please help me as to how to check ST06 transaction in detail?

I want to know what all we need to check in ST06.

In tcode ST06 you need to monitor below details

CPU-->Hourly CPU maximum ?

any IO wait %?

Memory

Page in kb/h peak

Page out kb/h peak

Min free memory

Swap

Commit charge free

Lan

errors

collisions

For daily check use St06 > goto performance database > compare recent days & look at:-

CPU trends

Paging trends

Lan Packets

Hi Sameer !

we use ST06 for different checks ... let me explain you few...

checking file system utilization : ST06 > Detailed analysis Menu > snapshot analysis - filesystem : here you will find FS utilization at OS level of all configured FS.

checking previous hour CPU utilization : then go to previous hours ...

checking current CPU utilization : then check in snapshot analysis- CPU anf if observed high check Top CPU ...

Checking operating system parameters ...

ST06 is really big transaction .... it depends what you want to check using it. But generally ppl use it for finding current/previous hour CPU utilization, top CPU process, filesystem utilization of host, hardware configuration, hardware memory utiization ...

If you could provide me with some help links on ST06 will be great. I want to know what exactly when you click on CPU, how to analyze the screen etc...Same for other options in ST06.

Hi,

Click on detail analysis menu after entering into ST06 transaction. Then click on perticular button to analyse further.
