difference between FP05 & FPB7

Hello

what is the principal difference between FP05 & FPB7 ?

as far as I can see , I can create + Post payments with both.

please elaborate in common language(no sap links please).

Avijit,

FP05 is used to post payments in lot.

Here you can post the items to Contract Accounts <either clear an Invoice or post payment on account>,clarification account, transfer posting etc.

Where as FPB7 is used to transfer post EBS items unto FICA <EBS file is uploaded into FI-GL either using FF.5 or FF_5 or FF67>.

Hi,

Payment lots is the fuctionality which facilitates grouping of payment and then subsequently posting these payment in batch. It can be created manually or automatically. FPB7 (Electronic ank Statement) file when posted in the system automatically create a payment lot.

Payment lots are created automatically by the system if the payments in question are transferred as a file, in the form of an electronic bank statement for example. Lots can be created for checks and credit card payments, as well as for bank transfers.
