Not really... just take the details of the RFC's and recreate them after the HSC is done.

Hello,

Everyhting is possible.

One customer did the following, same RFC what he has at QAS system, he has at PROduction, so after system copy, just delete only Production RFC.

Other using my solution and this is >>

Create a Transport of Copies TR with the following tables:

R3TR TABU RFCDES

R3TR TABU RFCDOC

R3TR TABU RFCATTRIB

Enter * as key for all tables

You have to release transport before system copy and after system copy just import it to test system,

Best regards,

Setting up an RFC takes 20 seconds... I can't see the point in going through that process... anyhow your desicion... but if they are only a handful of connections I'll do them manually.

yes, if there are a handful of connections few customers take the screenshots and recreate them after the system copy.

even we can follow peter's method..and also we can create an export file using r3trans and later import

Create an export control file named

'exprfc_cntrl' with following content :

Export

client = 400

file 'C:\admin\exp\EXPORT_SM59.DMP'

delete from rfcattrib

select * from rfcattrib

delete from rfcdes

select * from rfcdes

delete from rfcdoc

select * from rfcdoc

delete from RFCDESSECU

select * from RFCDESSECU

delete from RFCCHECK

select * from RFCCHECK

delete from RFCGO

select * from RFCGO

delete from RFCTA

select * from RFCTA

delete from RFCSTXTAB

select * from RFCSTXTAB

delete from RFCSYSACL

select * from RFCSYSACL

delete from RFCTRUST

select * from RFCTRUST

delete from RFCTYPE

select * from RFCTYPE

delete from RFCCMC

select * from RFCCMC

Create file "rfc_contrl" with following content:

Import

client = 400

file = 'rfc.dmp'

Import using following command:

R3trans rfc_contrl

Hello the backup of the RFC is possible and you can create a TR for the same using SE01 and tranport of copies as template and export all the table mentioned by Peter Nechala.

And Import the request after the system copy is done.
