Scrap Planning in APO

Can we do scrap planning in APO ?

We have put the Scrap % in Product Master,but the system is not picking up the same while calculating planned orders during optimiser run.

Kindly give your valuable inputs.

Hi Guru,

To maintain itemwise scrap qty, you can define the same in R/3 under mm02 t-code, in MRP1 tab under Lot size data within the field "Assembly scrap(%). Once it is done, carry out the ciffing of location product master data from R/3 to APO so that it gets updated into the PPM

Maintain the Scrap % in PPM for activity in PPM.

Here you can also maintain time dependent scrap if your process going to mature with time.

If i will put the Scrap % in PMM for activity, it will increase the % for all the input materials. We want to restrict only for one material.

Hi Guru,

The scrap qty that you have maintained in R/3 will get updated through CIf via PPM based on integration model.

Please check for the item that you have mentioned as planned order, whether PPM is having the scrap qty or not.
