User Environment Variable

Hi,

can anyone tell me the file, where these user environment variables stores.

actually my system faced a lil crashed and all my variablre (Except TEMP and TMP) are gone from the User Environment Variable menu under My document as well as from the registry but the SAP MMC is working well.

can any one tell me from where i can reget or pls do let me provide these description so that i can reset them again.

I assume you are meaning that you have lost the environment varaibles for the <sid>adm user?

You can see what the variables should be by looking in the registry key:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\SAP\<SID>\Environment

BTW: This registry key is updated whenever the SAP Service is started - it reads the variables from the <sid>adm account and sets this registry key. So while MMC still works now, and you are able to start/stop SAP, next time you restart the server or you stop/start the SAP service it is likely that SAP wlll stop working until you have fixed the environment vairables for your <sid>adm user.
