Hi,

we have to upgrade the DATABASE build (maxdb) on production server(Enviornment Windows 2003 64 bit),

Our Current Build is 7.6.0.18

And recommended Build is: 7.6.5.015

I have uploaded it on quality and its working fine on quality server.

Now we have to apply the same on production, but since itu2019s in the cluster, Three notes are suggested.

We have to identify the Installation type for MAXDB database and apply the procedure from one of the Applicable note for the installation.

I need Help identify the same to avoid further complications.

SAP notes sugested are As follows,

508979 - Upgrade of SAP DB/MaxDB/liveCache w/ Cluster MSCS Var.1

843560 - SAP DB/MaxDB/liveCache Upgrade with MSCS cluster Var.2

912246 - SAP DB/MaxDB/liveCache upgrade with MSCS cluster Var 3

Please tell me how to find it,

I had followed the following procedure on node1 to identify the installation type.

Transaction DB50

Properties

Directories

it Shows

IndepPrograms d:\sapdb\programs

IndepData g:\sapdb\data

InstallationPath d:\sapdb\ap1\db

Rundirectory g:\sapdb\data\wrk\AP1

Need help to identify the type of installation.

Ritesh Bhatia.

Hello,

in terms of the upgrade notes, this means

IndepPrograms -> Independent Programs directory

IndepData -> Independent Data Directory

InstallationPath -> Instance Dependent directory

Of course, you would then need to use the cluster administrator in order to verify which path is installed on which type of disk (local/shared).

Best Regards,

Michael
