Two IDES's on a single machine

Hi Gurus,

I have a doubt if i can install two IDES on a single machine.

Right now i am having ECC 5 IDES on Windows with DB as Oracle on my machine. Now i would like to try to install any other IDES (4.7 or ECC 6) on the same machine without touching the already existing ECC 5.

Can i do it, if possible please guide me what all precautions and steps i need to follow for the same.

follow note 98252 for maintaing listener files when two Oracle databases are on a single host.It also talks about prerequisites to be followed

Make sure that your existing and new IDES will be the same Unicode/Nonunicode, other wise i think it will not going to install in a single system with same database.

Yes you can but need to have a good configuration system for same.

You can very well do it.There are no issues with that only thing being about Oracle listeners.

Please go through the following note 98252 for maintaing listener files when two Oracle databases are on a single host.It also talks about prerequisites to be followed
