Hi

I have installed sap CE1 server and it worked fine for one day.

The next day I could not start it as jstart.exe died after 1 minute.

I looked into the services and found out that maxdb ce1 fails to start.

Going service by service I discovered that some of these services call files that cannot be

found on my computer e.g omststknl.exe, quickknl.exe, etc

THe display for this db is MAXDB: .M760312.

Does someone know how to resolve this.?

Can a new instance of Maxdb be installed?

How do I tell the servier to use the newly installed DB?

Hi Yuval,

it could be that your database just does not start up automatically. So you have to set the service to automatic and that should solve it.

I already switched the service to automatic. It just starts and then stops after a few seconds claiming there

is nothing to do .....

How ever, i also installed MAXDB separately and it appears to run ok.

How can I tell the server to use this instance of DB?

Hi,

run sapstartsrv.exe and try creating Services.

You cannot. The DB needs a whole lot of tables that are configured on the DB. This is done during install.

Do a new installation.
