Hi Abhirami,
step 1.
Goto webdynpro Components default WINDOW. Navigate to inbound plug.
add a new importing parameter below the WDEVENT lets say IV_USER type Uname.
Step 2.
Goto the WebDynpro Application for this Component. Double click to see its Properties. Navigate to Parameters Tab.
In change mode you can enter your parameter IV_USER as new parameter.
now when calling you webdynpro application your url should look like
http:<ServerName>:<port>/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/zmyApp?sap-client=100&sap-language=EN&IV_USERID="MYNAME"
Step 3.
Write a method in component controller
Method Get_Param.
data: lv_param type string.
lv_param = wdr_task=>client_window->get_parameter( 'IV_USERID' ).
End Method.
Greetings
Prashant

Dear Abi,
You can try the following code in WDDOINIT() of component controller
data: lv_param type string.
lv_param = wdr_task=>client_window->get_parameter( 'parameter name' ).
Appreciate if its Helpful.
