Hi,
This question is about account assignment category in strategy definition in customization.
I have strategy 50(Planning without final assembly) in our ERP system with 50 having a account assignment category M (Ind. cust. w/o KD-CO)
I think this is standard.
The question for me, what does the account assignment M mean? should we maintain any values in any table if we select this?
The reason why I am asking is I am having a issue with consumption of sales orders with planned independent requirements that throw out an error "Account assignment missing for the 01456720010"
Here 0145672 is my sales order and item 10 is the material with strategy 50.
I appreciate any information pointers/suggestions.
Thanks.
What exactly does Ind. cust. w. KD-CO stand for.

Venkat,
M Account Assignment Catagory is mainly used for MTS unlike MTO which has option E
It has many fields which are either mandatory/optional/suppress...just check in the system...for M you will find Sales Order and G/L as mandatory
You need to go into SPRO --> MM --> Purchasing --> Account Assignment --> Maintain Account Assignment Catagory.
Check if any other setting is missing or something extra other then your requirement has been activated.
Thanks,
N
