J2EE add-in question

I have installed an ABAP central instance.

When I try to install the JAVA- add-in (dialog instance).

Java Add-In for ABAP ¨ ¨ Distributed

System ¨ Dialog Instance Finalization

It says that I dont have an ABAP DI installed.

Is it a requirement that you have an ABAP di installed? Why not just point it to the central ABAP instance.

Looks like you are doing 'java dialog instance'.

You should do the 'Java system finalization' first for installing java add-in. Then if needed you can install the 'Java dialog instance finalization'

Also do a client copy before the java add-in.
