Procedure to change the hostname and <SID> on SAP COntent Server 6.40/MAXDB

Hello

Customer has installed SAP COntent server 640 with MAXDB 7.6 on IA32 Bit.

As per customer's compnay policy, they have changed hostname and IP address .

We are asked to to configure hostname in SAP Content server with MAXDB.

Also please tell us the procedure to change <SID> too.

to change hostname, it might be easier to re-install SAP Content server from SAPnetweaver 7.0 SR3 DVD.

to change SID, look for docs at http://www. maxdb.org
