Hi All

Need suggestion / inputs on whether to use BADI / BAPI / User-exit for to copy/populate the planned cost values into CJ30 (respective WBS elements) rather than doing manual budgeting in CJ30.

Means whenever there is a new/change in the planned costs for a project (WBS elements) - the planned values should get copied based on financial year in CJ30.

Is the scenario possible in standard functionality or thru BADI/ BAPI / User-exit?

Kindly give valuable comments on this.

Please use t-code IMCCP3 to transfer plan cost to budget

You may want to try using transaction IMCCP3 to copy project plan to budget instead of having to manually enter them in CJ30. It copies the hierarchical planning values at the WBS element level.

Thanks for the guideline. But using IMCCP3 - will this transaction - can be automated whenever there is a change take place in the Project it should reflect in CJ30.

If it can be done in IMCCP3 - will be there any validation to cross check copied planned values is exactly copied or not copied properly.

Are you trying to change the budget based on WBS cost planning or based on network-based costing? In either case, I am not sure updating budget automatically upon plan change does not seem to be a good idea. Can you explain the business reason?

I am not aware of any standard functionality to copy plan to budget automatically. Which plan values are trying to use to update budget anyway?
