Hello all,
I know SOAP adapter support WSS, however I don't see such option in ws adapter. The ws adapter support web service better than soap adapter, like ws adapter supports ws-rm, ws-a, etc. I would be surprised that ws adapter won't support ws security while soap adapter does.
Anybody has idea about this?
Thank
Jayson
Of course it supports. Page 17

Hi Prateek,
thanks for your link. So ws adapter should theoritically support WSS. However in the ws CC, you can only specify regarding authentication, not xml encryption. WSS concerns both authentication/signature and encryption. So how can we impose message encryption in ws CC?
Also anyone have document about how to use WSS using ws adapter? I've read document about WSS for soap adapter, but found none for ws adapter.
Thanks
Jayson
Hi Jayson,
The WS adapter does support the WS security. Check out this : http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/45/37d73b80554c2ce10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm

Hi Jayson,
Look at slides 22 and 23 in the document, which the URL is listed below. Where you will see the configuration to authenticate in the WS adapter in PI 7.1.
Also, you can use https protocol.
I hope this helps
Julio
