Maintain material specification

HI,

I have maintained material specification, then against inspection lot it is not allowing me to take usage decision. I have not maintained inspection plan. Could you please let me know what is use of material specification. As I understand it take preference over inspection plan. If I want to use material specification instead of inspection plan, will it work. What are the settings I need to do in order to get it worked.

Hi Raj,

Pls go through the [link|], that will make you understand the basics of material specification and Inspection plan.

Then all you need to do as to implement the same, is, Tick the "insp. with mat spec" instead of "Insp. with task list", in Inspection type details for all relevant inspection types in material master QM View.
