How to delete MDM import map

Hi forum members,

Can you let me know where the import maps are stored so I can go and delete the old ones we are not using any more?

Hi Nick,

map files are integrated inside MDM. In order to delete a map in Import Manager follow these steps:

1. Open Import Manager

2. Choose Files from menu, then Open Map

3. Choose the map to delete from the map list

3. Push delete button on the keyboard

That's all.

Hi!

just one addition,If you have defined Ports for the map then first you have to delete the port.

For this you have to unload the repository

Delete port using console

Load repository

Follow steps to delete Map.

Hi Nicholas,

Please follow the below steps:

For Import Manager Maps :

Please click on the File --> Open.

It will show you the list of maps saved

Select the map you want to delete and you can use the Delete key to delete it

Answer the confirmation pop up and accordingly the Map will be deleted.

For Syndicator Export Maps :

Please click on the File->Delete

You can see the list of the Maps present.

Select the maps you want to delete by double clicking on them

Click Ok.

In Syndicator the Delete button is provided, unlike in Import Manager.

Hi Nicholas,

for deleting an import map follow the below procedure:

open import manager> File(left top corner)>open>select the map to be delete> delete.

It'll ask for confirmation.then you can delete that. This is the way in MDMsp06.

And of course if that map is being used in any port,then that map has to be removed from that port in console.

As correctly mentioned by Vito, I would like to add that many people do have the confusion about the Option of deletion of Import Maps which is very right to have, as there is no clear DELETE option in File in Import Manager.

As Vito has mentioned, you need to go to File, And choose Open and then delete ( *by pressing DELETE button on your keyboard)* one by one the maps you want to delete.

On the contrary if you want to delete the syndication maps, you just have to go to the File-> DELETE and then you can choose multiple maps at the same time and choose OK.

This would delete all the export maps you want to delete at one shot.
