How to link the file server to ECC6

hi, here is one of the functionality,

Client have drawing's documents means image form stored in file server.

Now they set SAP and DMS Content server.

Functionality, is like this,

They create Purchase order in SAP and they link drawing Document to PO.

This drawing image is stored in file server.

can we link this image document to PO, with giving file path or url path.

as i know, with out check in to DMS CS or SAP DB, we can't access like this type of requirement.

if any solution please explain me.

Hi,

You can use GOS with URL path of that file to link drawing with PO by avoiding CS and SAP database.

As rthe url clicks on that url it will open that drawing.

please could u give detail steps, i am new for this reqirement.

i realy doint know working functionality of GOS[ Generic object Service].

i don't know how the files stored, my reqirement is, the file server is located other part of india, and sap DB server is in mumbai. how i could do this.

i think for every po we can store this file separetly as i guess. but how long this will stores?

please help me
