Shopping Cart - Work Item missing

Hi friends,

In the shopping cart process we are facing a peculiar problem. The process is running well in development system, but it is not in quality system.

In development system, we create a shopping cart in SRM which needs to be approved (n-step approval BADI implemented). The work item can be seen in the senior's inbox as a to be approved work item.

In quality system, the superior's name can be be seen in approval preview. We order the shopping cart and check the status. It shows as awaiting approval with the senior. But the work item never comes to the senior's inbox (for approval).

What could be the Problem?

The approval task should general task. Please check it.

Hi,

Check using swi6 if any workitems are created or not for this shopping cart. It could be that workitem creation is failing due to some errors. Verify that all automatic workflow customizing (txn-SWU3) is correct. Especially you should check RFC destination for workflow system. You might need to synchronize wf-batch passwords. Also check in SM58, if any error log is present.

Check the workflow log and see whats exactly happening?

Might be the user might be locked in backend - it might be one reason as well if the approver is not able to see workitems in his portal inbox.
