Dear Experts................
Can any one plz explain the scenario of Network costing.
Process and steps.
Regards
Chandra
Hi Chandra,
You can plan project costs in two different ways:
1.Manual cost planning in the WBS
2.Cost planning using activities (network costing)
When you plan dates and resources in network activities, the system determines the corresponding planned costs automatically.
Planned costs are determined for the following objects:
1.Activity inputs for internally-processed activities
2.Primary costs for externally-processed activities and services
3.Primary costs for general costs activities
4.Primary costs for material components

dear chandra guru,
you need to have costing variants for plannned and actual costs calculation
the costing variants has valuation variants which contains data like from where cost has to picked up like for acitivity type -- we can mention fixed price ... for material cost --- moving average price or fixed price for MM master record ..... and costing variant controls how costs are executed and this contains costing type, valuation variant, cost component structure
the cost component structure can be used for getting break cost details
