Problem with ALE settings

Hi,

I am trying to send CREMAS05 from R3 ( scenario IDOC-File)

I am getting error message "0 communication channels generated"

but MATMAS.MATMAS01 is executing succesfully.

Here are the settings on R3 and PI.

R3 (LS : ECCCLNT100)

SCC4 : PIICLNT001 ( exisiting)

SALE : PIICLNT001 (dont exist - I think I need to assign it here)

I checked PORT, RFC, Partner profiles and all seem to be good.

• I dont see CREMAS in distribution model *****

Now the question is, how did the MATMAS executed without PIICLNT001 being added in SALE??

I am confused. can someone suggest following?

1. What is the cause of the above error message while sending IDOC?

2. Am I supposed to configure any ALE settings?

Have you imported CREMAS05 in PI.

Go to transaction IDX1 and IDX2 for the same in PI.

the meta data wasnt updated in IDX2. I did it manually now.

Still no luck

Hi

- Compare your ID settings for both the Idoc scenarios (working & non working)

- Check the status of Idoc in sending system?? is it sent to XI?

- Check SMQ2, SM58 of XI

IDOC is not getting generated.

We will have to check in SM58 after IDOC is succesfully created.

I am assuming there is problem with LS not being alloted to the client.

Same time, I am confused as why does it gave no communication channel generated message?

As distribution model is not available idoc cannot be generated so

Do one thing if need test idoc go to we19 and generate test idoc and monitor the things in R/3 and XI

observe what configurations/communication channel it is picking at runtime for entire scenario

got stuck post back to forum
