Item category is not defined in Delivery

Dear All,

I am creating a Trade Delivery and tryng to save it ,but it shows an error

"Item category is not defined"

Message no. VL324.

Plz suggest.

The solution for me was to add an entry to the T184 table by matching the material item type to the delivery item type.

Hi,

for ur question,

1. check item category determination table whether ur combination is there or not

2. in copy controls VTLA sales order to delivery -- ur OR to LF for this ur item category available or not check. selct or to lf then click on item category then all item categories come there u check urs is there or not

Please let me know bout the solution to this question. I did so many configuration settings in SPRO, but still error message is popping up "Item Category Not Defined". Dear Sowmyesh,

As you said that all the desired configuration has been done then it should be resolved. But you can check the Delivery Item Category Determination if a New Item category has been defined.

Else you can also expand the "+" Icon for Batch Determination within the delivery which I hope will show the error.

SPRO -->Logistic execution --> Shipping -->Deliveries -->define item category determination in Deliveries.

Hi Amit,

I have checked the search forum but no thread was there regardingthe same.

They are related to Order Item Category.I have maintained the copy control of Order type with delivery type with the specified Item Category.Then Maintained the Item category Determination with Delivery Type,but still the same error.

Dear Ankur,

Have you maintained following Settings:

SPRO --> IMG --> Logistic Execution --> Shipping --> Deliveries --> Define Item Category for Deliveries

Note: Here check Box: AutoBatchDeterm

There after, Maintain entry in to:

SPRO --> IMG --> Logistic Execution --> Shipping --> Deliveries --> Define Item Category Determination for Deliveries.

Also, Copy-Control (in T. Code: VTFA), is another important Area-of-Concern

As you said the material is batch managed

In-img-logistics general--batch management-batch determination with batch check----activate automatic batch determination in SD

Here automatic batch determination in sales order items and activate automatic batch determination in delivery item categories

and also in 0VLP settings (zero VLP settings)

Have you marked here?

Batch is coming automatically in Delivery as it is activated in the check box.

For second case,I have already maintained the delivery type with Item Category Group and Delivery Item Category.

Some other customizing where I can Check.
