Hi Srihari,

Please check the PasswordE parameter in the MDIS.ini file for your repository.

Here, remove the 'E' enter the password of Admin user and restart the Import Server.

Recheck that the MDIS.ini file the parameter Password should get converted to PasswordE=some value.

Hope it helps.

Thanks,

Priti.

Hi Srihari,

If you have the password for Admin user, the same is to be specified in MDIS.ini file for PasswordE parameter present in your repository section. Refer the thread posted above which has the way to do this.

Hi Guys,

Guess i was not clear enough on my requirement. My repository has 2 ports (A, B) for single Remote system.

One of the port A imports files using MDIS & another port B does not import (files are struck)

I went through all traditional workable solutions:

Did not change my Admin user password, so no possibility.

MDM disk memory is spacious, so no issues with deleting of archive files.

Maps are good, as able to use import manager correctly.

Created another port B1 with same configurations of B, still could not import files.

Re-started system, still don't find any solution.

MDIS.ini file settings were not changed.

Path is correct one as one Port A picks up files.

Could you guys please guide me, as it in Production server.

Hi Srihari,

Please check if you are using the same map for both the ports.

Try creating two different maps for port A and port B.

Hope it helps.

Hi Minaz,

Thanks for the update. We have different Maps for Port A & B. Same Maps for B & B1.

Hi Srihari,

Try to import the second file for port B manually using Import Manager.

If prior to importing you get any mapping errors, fix them and save the map as "save update"

Now try to import the file using MDIS.

Hope it helps.

Hi Srihari,

Check the following port properties

1. Processing Type

2. Status

Processing Type should be set to Automatic and Status should be Empty else Import Server will not pick the file.

Hi,

Check if the file for port B is too large. If so, try to break the file into smaller ones and try to import.

Also check how many records are present in the import file? Too many records may cause a problem.

Also check the Chunk size details and the number of records processing in parallel number it must be proportionately appropriate .

For immediate importing, keep the processing interval to 0.

Hope it helps.

Hi Srihari,

Could you plz share the solution as I am also facing the same problem in my scenario.

Like yours, my settings are also absolutely correct and I have restarted the MDIS server.

Please suggest.

Hi Nitin,

Which version of MDM you'r using. we migrated to new version MDM 5.5.63.80 from old version & it automatically solved MDIS Import problem, However clean up your Inbound ready archive folder data & re-start the server.

It should work.

Hi Srihari,

We are already using MDM 5.5.63.73 version which I feel is one of the latest version for SP06. In our case, the MDIS was working fine earlier. But suddenly it stopped processing the files and they are stuck in Ready folder.

I have already cleaned the Archive and the log folder. I also deleted the ports and then re-created them and after that restarted the MDIS server.

But still the MDIS does not function. Both in the Dev and QA.

However, there are 2 things in our case :

1. We have created 2 more folder in our Inbound port folder to move the old archives and exception files. I think this should not be a problem as MDIS is not touching them. These 2 folders are handled manually.

2. The files that we are sending, have records which as per our map, have to be skipped. In that case, how will the MDIS handle those files. Will it process it and send them to archive without importing or will it keep it un-processed? Is this the reason for MDIS failure?

Please suggest.
