Enabling Parameter auth\new_buffering

Hello Experts,

I want to know if ther are any issues with setting of the parameter auth\new_buffering to 4?

Hello Chinmaya,

as the buffer table is refreshed immediately at user comparison, you may expirience a longer runtime upon saving a user with many roles assigned in SU01 (same of course in pfcg when performing user comparison). Also pfcg_time_dependency may have a longer runtime.

Please keep in mind, that value 4 is the standard settings for the actual releases.

Together with the new buffering mechanism, the reference user concept was also introduced.

See table PRGN_CUST for the ID = 'REF_USER_CHECK'. I recommend changing the path to 'E' (error).

You might also want to take a closer monitoring approach and activate the logging of some of the backend tables.

Hello,

setting the profile parameter to 4 causes that importing transport requests containing roles will take more time. Maybe this is acceptable in most cases, but you should be careful with this value when you are going to import lots of transport requests containg roles.
