Problem in connecting to SAP server from JCO Server running on Linux system

Hi,

I am trying to run a JCO Server from Linux system. But I am getting the error message.

"Connect to SAP gateway failed"

I am able to connect to this SAP server when I run JCO server from a windows machine. SAP server is on windows machine.

I am getting the same error message (as mentioned above) if I disconnect network cable from my windows system when I run the JCO server from windows system.

Any help is highly appreciated.

Hi Sudhakar,

I suspect its something to do with the networking settings on the linux system. For instance, on windows servers, you will often have to add an extra line to the \system32\drivers\etc\services file with the port number of the message server on the target R/3 server. Its probably not a SAP configuration, but a linux configuration issue.
