Hi gurus.

Let me explain you our setup first.We are on SAP ERP from April-2008 and now

all end users are very friendly and convergent with the system

Now our requirement is that implementing such utility which can be

integrated with your exiting SAP application. The systems will facilitate us

by giving forecasting analysis which is based on your business criteria also

allow us to take right decision with different output method.

What i want is if i am sending goods form our plant (bangalore) to dealer in some other place in mysore, system should automatically say that which type of shipping type is good. (Road, rail, ship, etc) with the KM.

What all configuration & customization should i need to do.

Hello Vijay,

you are searching a tool helping to optimizw the planning of your transport.

These can be done with the help of SAP TM (Transportation Management), in detail VSR Optimization (Vehicle Scheduling and Routing):

Formerly it was done with APO:

If you still use APO, you can use it for planning transports. So the new SAP TM has more functionalities as shipment cost calculation, tendering, order management... The APO TP/VS part is also now part of SAP TM.

As you are using SAP ERP it will be interfaced to the SAP LE-TRA Module.

Go thorugh this help link it will help you about how to simulate shipment cost at sales order level based on that you can choose better wat of shipment type.

Before that make sure you have done all the settings related to the Transportation process.
