ECM for Recipe

Dear SAP Gurus

I am configuring ECM for BOM & Recipe. For BOM i have the option for Global relase key so that when i set the same changes will be release only after then. But i am not getting the same for Recipe. It is not given in Std SAP or i am missing some Config setting. Please guide.

Hello Rashid,

Release key option is applicable to change number & not to specific objects like BOM & routing.

Detailed procedure is this:

When you create change number, you assign objects like BOM & routing to it.

You make changes in BOM & recipe with this change number

These changes are not globally released unless & until you set release key.

Then set the release key to change number to release the changes globally that means to have its effect on planning, production, costing etc.

Hi Rashid,

I think the ECR will be batter option for Recipe and BOM both. Where you can imply well established release strategy.
