Dear all
could you help me on the following questions?
i created some projects and they are in process now.
i found that the basic start and finish dates (network and activities) were change. they are not fixed.
i hope they are not changing whatever i do.
using OPU6 i checked "specifying sheduling parameters"
i selected adjust basic dates, adjust dep. reqmnts to operation date and i ticked automatic scheduling.
i wondered if these two factors caused the basic dates change.
my second quesion is even i change the config above-mentined, those in-process projects will not be changed. that means their basic dates still changes.
how can i make the dates fixed when they are scheduled and saved for the first time.
thanks a lot
Judy
Hi,
My suggestion is to define a process that whenever you have a new project you create a initial project version (CN72) right after you schedule the first time. You would consider this as your baseline and you could compare the dates later on.

if u use constrain before scheduling will not be possible.

Hi,
Its always advisable not to change the basic settings for the scheduling parameters in the Project system. However if you require to change the same then do the project version and then change the parameter for the project version so that it doesn't effect the production projects.

You can maintain constrains in activities.
