Authorization key in user status

Hi SAP gurus,

We have to block the access of changing the user status to particular users.

For that we have defined the authorixation key in BS52 & given that authorization key to user status.

Now we do not know how to assign the no of users to each authorization key.

Please guide us.

Thanks & Regards,

Pradip

Authorisation object is B_USERSTAT, You can directly put this object manually in role. to do this, go to PFCG -- Change (fill role name) -- go to authirisation tab - click on change authorisation data- in this screen click +Manually and add this object. Take help from basis consultant.

Dear Sudhir,

I have three use status for WBSE's as follows,

Status Description Auth.Code(Auth key)

NBDG - WBS not Budgeted A1

BUDG- WBS Budgeted A2

PREL - Release for PR/PO A3

Now if I assign all thre Auth key (A1, A2, A3) to Authorization object " B_USERSTAT".

Then all the users against the authorization object "B_USERSTAT" will get the access of above three user status.

What I understand from this is that " I have to create the three different authorization object & assign three diff auth key to those 3 authorization object. Withe we can give the access of specific user status to specific users".

Please give ur comments on above understanding of mine.

Thanks & regards,

You can select required authorisation key/s in authrization key value field in that object. no need to create another auth. object in the same role.

Hi Pradip,

If you have have three use status for WBSE's as follows,

Status Description Auth.Code....(Auth key).... User/ User group

NBDG - WBS not Budgeted A1 .... Auth Key 1 .... User 1

BUDG- WBS Budgeted A2 .... Auth Key 2 .... User 2

PREL - Release for PR/PO A3 .... Auth Key 3 .... User 3

Pls note the logic that each Auth key forms the link between Users Status & the required User.

Assign respective Auth Key for Each User Status.

Also assign the Authorization Key for respective User in object B_USERSTAT.

To Do so use TCODE : S_BCE_68001396

Select User ---> find object B_USERSTAT -

> Delete "*" & assign the required Authorization key.

PS : User Status profile being a Cross Application Oblect, I donot exactly know which Std Basis Role the object B_USERSTAT is related to.

Pls let me know if it was useful.

Regards

Sejo
