hi

1. how to create serial no automatically by defualt system should propose serial no

say mat xyz stock 5 ( system should give 5 serial no automatically instead of manual entry)

2. How to validation on serial no -say AA9999

FIRST 2 SHOULD BE CHARACTERS

NEXT 4 SHOUYLD BE DIGITS ONLY

Hi there

Go to SPRO > SD >Basic Functions > Serial Numbers > Determine Serial Number Profiles (transaction:OIS2)

and setup a serial number profile per your business requirements. Here you can configure the system to either assign the serial number automatically or if it should be done manually in sales order or delivery.

Once you have created the serial number profile, assign that to the material in MM02 to the Sales: General/Sales data tab in the Genaral Plant parameters > Serial number profile.

You should be all set now.

Hi,

In delivery from the menu bar select Extras--->Serail numbers here you can see automatic or manul.
