Batch job : session stuck in u2018background session' (SM35)

Im using SAP 4.0B. After run job, the session created in SM35 goes to "background session". It suppose to be " Session still to be process". Appreciate your expertise advise why the session was not auto release. FYI, this job is run daily and will create SBDC session which will be process in background for auto release. However, currently some of the sessions are stuck in u2018background sessionu2019. Due to this user need to do manual posting for the effected SBDC.

Please help.

Hi MJ,

I am facing the same problem. The batch session if I process in 'background', it gets stuck. However, if I process it in 'foreground', it works perfectly fine. I am facing this problem in Development server.

Please advice.

HI,

Either the problem could be one of these.

While scheduling jobs what calendar did u select?May be there might be a problem in getting correct working days.

Some session might have been struck in the middle.

Check the queue dump for error in datas.

Check the log whether the session has a commit status to database .

Also , did u check the Cancel if log error occurs check box while starting the session ?
