Can I use the GRMG mechanisms to monitor (third-party) systems ?

Hi team,

We are using PI 7.1.

We have SAP ECC 6.0 systems and third-party JAVA base applications (that are web service capable) part of the backend systems landscape.

I am wondering how I can monitor the "heart beat" of

- ECC 6.0 ABAP stack & JAVA stack

- Third-party (java) base system

I have used GRMG in the past to monitor heart beat of the PI components (SLD, IR, ID, etc) but never SAP and-or third party (java) base applications.

Is this a good starting point:

Thank in advance!

Hi,

Instead of GRMG , you try out CCMS . Detailed info about is available on:

Joel, GRMG is considered as a part of CCMS. So it would be better for Michel to understand CCMS first.

Thanks for your responses

We are looking at CCMS as well. I know that we can monitor any SAP JAVA stack from the CCMS layer. My question is can we monitor a non "SAP" JAVA base backend system.

Is this doable via the CCMS or via GRMG ?

Thank again !

A more generic view to start would be CCMS alert monitor.
