critical fields in credit control

Hi experts,

In OVA8, critical fields are relevant to additional value days, fixed value date. What does additional value days, fixed value date mean by?

I tried changing pricing date but the system did not consider it as critical field.

Pls advise. Thx.

Hi,

If you check the credit field in OVA8. it will compare the value of payment terms in customer master against the document payment terms and rerlevant fields which affect the payment terms like Additional value days and Fixed value date. The credit check will happen once again if you change these fields in the document. The pricing date is not the key field because it is nothing to do with the credit check.

Hi,

Additional Value Days, means The number of days between the billing date and the date on which the terms of payment for the sales document become effective.

Fixed Value Days,The date on which the terms of payment related to the sales document become effective.

You can maintain either of the Fields in the Sales Documents.

Hi,

Again, many thx for your valuable advice.

What scenario is applied by using those two fields? Would you pls clarify further?

Hi,

For additional value days & fixed value days, what scenario can be used for?

Hi Cathy,

The credit check is triggered by changes made in the document to values of any of the credit-sensitive fields. These fields are proposed from the customer

master record, and include, for example, terms of payment and fixed

value dates.

The critical fields checks compare the payment terms of the sales order

against the payment terms of the customer master. If there is a

difference, the check is "Not OK".

It doesn't matter if the payment terms come from manual input, condition

record or userexit or somewhere else.

The system does NOT carry out another credit check if the following

conditions are met: the value of the changed order is not greater than

the value already approved for credit (inclusive of the deviation

factor), AND the current date is not greater than the original release

date plus the number of days specified here.

Hi Alex,

Thx. For payment terms, I understand.

How about fixed value days & addtional value days? It is said that those two days will cause credit check also.

My question is what scenario will use those two days?
