Text field - multiples lines

Former Member

Hi,

I am using a text field with its value assigned to a string variable in the adobe form. But when I pass a value that is more than one line, only one line is showing up and the remaining are skipped.

I have "allow multiple lines" checked in the fields tab. also in the layout tab, I have checked 'Expan to fit'.

The length of this string is not constant and it can be more than couple of lines. Please let me know how I can display this field in the form.

Thanks.

do you have it wrapped in a flowable subform?

No, I have not.

Should I right click on the text field and select 'Wrap in subform'. Can you please provide me the steps to do it?

Thanks.

yes. right click - wrap in subform should do it.

it will probably be defaulted to Position - just change that to Flow.

let me know if that works.

regards,

robert.

Robert / Juergen,

Thanks a lot for your help. I also had the "Expand to fit" checked for width, think that was the problem. I removed it and it works fine now.

Thanks.
