hi

i am creating a sales return with reference to a billing document

the system is allowing to create even 100 qty of sales returns when the referenced billing doc contains only 10 qty

its just giving a warning message as below

Sales document 111075117 is currently being processed (by user KPITABAP)

Message no. V2042

is there any standard setiing or do i require a user exit which checks the reference billing doc and also a sales return doc

I hope, you know better, That its just a warning message. Where as your requirement is - System should not allow,if you take the enter the qtty,more than the reference doc qtty.

This is the case, you need to make this Warning Message as "Error" Message.

your ABAper can do this. But make sure, the same mssg appears in other cases also such as when you are copying from any source document to target doc ( Contract - Release Order )
