Hi,

Not supported by SAP, not recommended by SAP.

But I did it without problem at home on my test drive

If you have enough experience you can try, if not work you can reinstall it

1. Shut down SAP sytem

2. addapt all profiles start form DEFAULT then START and also instance Profile

3. check /etc/services and add new entries

e.g. sapdp 3200/tcp

new

sapdp 3201/tcp

you can leave the old one , not need to delete them

4. rename all profiles Start and stop

stopsap_<HOST>_00 to stopsap_<HOST>_01

5. adapt enviroment for your user sidadm

corn shell, bourn shell,

6. if you manage to start your system then

RFC - sm59, rz10 - import new profile, SPAD, job managment SM36 and Sm37

Of course I miss something, but it up to you

For you better knowledge you can try it, it will learn you how system works

or simple ask for consulting support from SAP, it will cost just money, nothing else.

Hello

Try run sapinst and follow up the sceen, but you choose to uninstall only profile for Dialog and do not check drop DB

Or adapt default paramter and start parameter to remove all info about Dialog, and Dialog instance will not start.

You can then just delete folder /usr/sap/ D - nubmer of you dialog instance.

Thanks, Peter.

Actually, I want to change the dialog instance number from 11 to 01 (the same as my central instance number, this when connecting through SAP gui, user can just conenct to the same node w/o have to know which node is up in cluster). Is it possible to change the instance number w/o uninstalling?

This is the wrong way to go about your requirement. Why don't you just create logon groups?
