had done one material reverse posting ( Movement-642 ) on 02.02.09 instead of 31.01.09.

how to change the posting date from 02.02.09 to 31.01.09.

You can't change the posting date once the document is posted. You can reverse this document (x) with current period, document y will be created and again reverse the reversed document (y) with the required date but your posting period for the previous month should be open.

You can try to change the posting date in table MKPF but it will be risky as it may conclude in inconsistency. So better you cancel the document and again cancel the cancelled document with the required date.

You can use MBST to cancel material document

we can't use that T.code. it will not work.

After cancelling you GI document, 642 is created. you can again post GI to create 641 and reverse it in VL09 and change your date using define date tab and your posting date will be changed to the one you need.
