Hello Mr. Shyamal Joshi,
As per the steps given in WIKI "Set up of a user profile to avoid the UD prior to RR", I am now able to check the user where user is not able to give a UD before entering results.
I have now created a new inspection type Z01 and status profile QM_UDZ01.
But he is still able to POST QUANTITY without giving UD and entering results.
Can you please suggest a way to restrict the user for below 2 cases where he should not able to post qty:
1. Result not recorded --> UD not given
2. Result recorded --> UD not given

Hi MR. Sahoo,
Have you assigned the new created status profile to the new inspection type?
Else kindly check the article Gajesh has suggested to refer. It's beautiful document. Will surely help you. Just what you need to do it check everything from initial level.

Shyamal

Hello Mr. Joshi,
In my inspection plans, there are inspection characteristcs but no MIC(Master Inspection Characteristcs) assigned to any of the characteristics.
Is it the reason why the check is not getting refletced?
Please suggest how to create a MIC and the impact of MIC on this user control.
Thanks a lot.

Hello Mr Sahoo,
See in your frist post you said it was working fine for your inspection type 01. So are you using different inspection plans for 01 and the new customized inspection type. If yes then what you have what was there in the 01 inspection type relevant inspection plan, MICs or Characteristics?
Above all, whether it is your MICs or Characteristics, there must be the "Required Characteristic" Control indicator set for it. The it will work I think (try with fresh Lot pls).
Even if it doesn't work then insert an MIC to any of your operation of the inspection plan, make it required and then check it must work.

Hello Mr. Joshi,
In my 1st thread, I checked for the followings and it was working as below:
1. No results was recorded and I want to post UD, then it was not allowing and throwing an error message. I had not tried to post quanity that time.
Now if I am trying to post quantity without selecting a UD code and results, it is allowing me to do, which should not happen.
Please provide further guidance where I am doing wrong.

Pradipta Sahoo
Ok Ok,
Then let me make it very clear that if you have done the same exactly as per Mr. Raghu's Article then I think it wont work. Because it is written exclusively to prevent UD before RR. It will not contain any relevant business trx related to Stock posting.
If it is such so then you must incorporate the "Start inv. pstg bef. UsageDec" Business trx as Forbidden And "No Action" radio buttons set for your Status profile. Kindly refer the STD "QM_L_003" and incorporate it.
Or
test it like this, remove the User Status profile form your existing lot, QA02. And then assign the STD one (QM_L_003) it the lot. Save
Now try to perform the Stock Posting before UD.
If it works then just add the status and business trx both as it is in QM_L_003 to your customized User Status profile.

Shyamal
Hello Mr. Joshi,
Thanks for your reply.
Yes if I apply status profile QM_L_003 to my inspection type, it will not allow to post qty before UD.
But it will not solve my complete problem, as it will still allow to give UD without result recording.
Can I not able to restrict both in one status profile?
Kind regards,
Pradipta Sahoo
Hello Mr. Joshi,
You mean to say I have to add 3rd status to my status profile QM_UDZ01.
Then status and business transactions would be as follows:
A . Status Number : 1
1. Status : RRNR
2. Short Text : Result not recorded
3. Initial Status Flag : Tick mark in check box ACTIVE
4. Lowest Status No : 1
5. Highest Status No : 10
6. Position : 1
7. Priority : 1
Business Transaction
1.Make Usage Descison
1. Forbidden : Selected radio button
2. No action : Selected radio button

If your characteristics are required characteristics, then you would have to force close them at the time of UD in order to do the UD. You can use security to disallow the force closing of required characteristics thus preventing the UD when there are missing results.
I don't think you can do this with status. You mightbe able to block the UD from happenning unless the lot has the ICCO status. But I haven't tried that personally so I'm not sure.
