Configuring printer on LINUX with SAP server on windows

hello.

i have installed SAP on a windows 2003 server system. i have my printer connected to a linux system. for takng a print out from this linux system using sapgui what should be done. the printer is perfectly configured inthe Linux system. but i would like to take a print out via sapgui.

hi,

You can use G : Frontend with Control Technologie for printing using Linux based SAPGUI. Just make sure that you have G access method via tcode SPAD.

Create an output device specifying 'L' (Print locally using LPR/LP) as your access method. Set the host printer to your printer as defined on the server. Also make sure you spool server is set to the system were the printer is installed.

Oops my apologise, misread your post - SAP system is installed on Windows, printer on linux.

Perhaps you can configure Samba and share the printer on Linux ?
