Profit center assignment to site

Dear Experts,

In our client, we have marked MARC-PRCTR [Profit center - Logistics DC View] as a Required field.

When we create an article for one site, though we maintain the MARC-PRCTR for that site, the system does not allow to save the article master.

The error message is "MARC-PRCTR is a required entry for the site RFDC [which is the reference site for the Distribution center]".

Is there any customizing table where we can maintain a profit center to the Reference site "RFDC" so that it is defaulted in the article master ?

Hi Kishore,

To overcome this, you need to input Reference article in Initial Screen of MM41

You create one reference article with Basic View, Listing, Logistics DC and Store View Details.

In Logistics DC View maintain Profit center for that article for RFDC site.

Use the reference article, while creating new Article in MM41. For new articles system copy's the Profit center from reference article.

Hi Kishore,

The field profit center in the logistic view will be proposed in most cases by the reference store value.

This field may not be activated in reference handling for copying.

Hi Kishore,

You can activate copy functionality for Profir Center Field in Tcode OMSR..

Select Tab "Field Name" and Input "MARC-PRCTR " and go to Details.

Activate Check Box "Copy Field Content" in Field Attributes (Retail Only).

Create a reference article and maintain data for Profict Center for Reference DC and Stores.

Use the same reference article while creating new Article in MM41. For new articles system copy's the Profit center from reference article.
