Hi,
Anyone would like to help me out as to how to go about building HACMP cluster on IBM p570 servers running Netweaver 04 products.
Hi Sanjib
Try this Redbook from IBM.
<a href="http://publib-b.boulder.ibm.com/abstracts/sg244498.html?Open">HACMP/ES Customization Examples</a>
Chapter 8.
It's a bit outdated but not bad as a starting point.
Kind regards,
Alexander

Hi Sanjib,
I'm don't think SAP will have a latest version of the Redbook, but they have a bunch of usefull information on <a href="https://service.sap.com/ha">High Availability</a>.
And here is another link to IBm which I got of service market place <a href="http://publib-b.boulder.ibm.com/abstracts/sg245050.html?Open">SAP R/3 IBM</a>
Hope you can use this as well.
Best regards,
Alexander
What you need is the "SAP WebAS in Switchover Environments" Handbook provided at the link that Alexander gave you. There is everything needed to know about that stuff.
If you install the latest version (nw04s) there is an HA installation included, that means you don't have to do anything special on your side of things.

Benny
This is usually done by IBM and without their help I doubt you can do it.

Benny

Hi Benny,
You are absolutely correct, they will be doing their bit and I need to support them so that SAP works as desired, but I am not sure what exactly I need to do for the thing to get going. The startup and shutdown scripts are to be modified I learnt, but the whole task as an Basis Administrator is not clear. Will you have a document/SAP Note detailing what SAP configuration changes are required to implement HACMP?
