"Shutdown in X min" message: howto?

Hi all @SAPforums,

simple question: how to send a popup message to users telling that the system is going into a mainteinance shutdown in X mins? I've tried the transaction SM02 and a popup message effectively appears, but it works only in SAPGui, while on the web interface doesn't.

Is there an easy way to do this that works with both SAPGui users and web interface/portal ones?

Hi Muthu,

seems quite a complex solution... No transactions or FM can be used for that task? Is it necessary to pass thru a java handmade project?
