Pre-requisites for Closing a WBS element

Hi,

There have been some Validation checks introduced in PS in our team. Iam interested in testing that this has not affected any existing pre-requisite for Closing a WBS element.

Can someone help me with the list of prerequisites for Closing of a WBS element.

Prerequisites

You can only set the Closed status after Released status.

If u want to close the project/wbsu2026plz follow

Technically completed (TECO)

We can use this status for WBS elements that are completed from a technical point of view, but where you still expect costs to accrue.

Closed (CLSD)

We can use this status for a work breakdown structure or WBS element that has been completed from both a logistic and an accounting point of view.

Both status can revoke.

To close WBS elements, Prerequisits are

1. WBS element is either released or technically closed status.

2. All activity should be confirmed.

3. No commitment remaining on WBS elements

1. All the acitities are confirmed

2. No additional busget is there lying un utilised

3. All the milestomes are confirmed

4. The materials attached in the project should be fully utilised or be transfered to the plant stock, etc

If settlment is required then Cost on WBS to be settled.
