Hi All,
I have developed a simple webdynpro application using adaptive rfc model and have deployed it onto the Netweaver Java Application server.
I understand that this application can be accessed on Blackberry browser with the help of Blackberry Enterprise Server(BES) which is inside the corporate firewall.
Now, I want to access the same application on a PDA/ smart phone/ Pocket PC(any mobile device apart from Blackberry mentioned in the PAM for Mobile-Always Connected application) using GPRS. Assuming that i've used only the UI elements which can be rendered by these devices, what settings do I have to maintain to access this application on these devices using GPRS?
Thanks and Regards,
Sunil
Hi,
Assuming that you have the required PDA emulator downloaded on to the system, to render emulator specific UI element on PDA emulator you need to use the following url parameter:
sap-wd-client=PieClient

Hi Sanyev/Aishwarya,
I have already developed the webdynpro java application using only compatible UI elements, and the application works fine in a blackberry(The Blackberry Enterprise server resides inside the corporate firewall, so the application can be accessed with a Blackberry).
My query is regarding accessing the same application using a PDA. What settings do I have to maintain in the server level so that the application can be accessed in a PDA using GPRS(the URL pattern has been taken care of).
regards,
Sunil
Hi Sunil,
Are you trying to access the Webdynpro application through the portal or directly? If it is directly with out intergration to the protal then I guess It should be possible directly. Just see if this dicument helps.

Hi Sunil,
There are ways in which you can develop Webdynpro application for mobile platform. You can go through this tutorial on a sample Webdynpro application developed for mobile application.
